The only time it would be safe to run a tool after receiving an error message is if that message is low voltage and you have corrected the problem before continuing. The most common reasons for a low voltage message are – Too small of a generator, too small gauge of extension/power cord, damaged extension/power cord, using more than 100ft extension/power cord without having a spider box in the middle. If you are unsure how to correct the problem, please call us before continuing to run the tool.

It is not recommended. While Leister encloses the critical electronic components so that their tools can run under most conditions, they are not waterproof. The components inside a Leister tool will burn out when they come into contact with water.
